Contacts

I got contacts about 2 weeks ago and they're awesome! They give me more peripheral vision. (Don't know if I used the right word there but you know what I mean). It's AMAZING! You should always look into them if you don't like your glasses a lot. See, I thought my glasses hid my face and now I realize they actually did! So just think about them if you're really interested in not wearing glasses. :)

My Squishy Bear

Look! I got this at the orthodontist yesterday!!! :) I called him "Dad".... My dad suggested I name his after him so I did!!! Comment if you like!

Four Chairs

I went to D.O.L.L.S. today and we heard an amazing devo. It's was about salvation and your beliefs. Let's start with "Chair 4: Un-Believing" these people just refuse to believe there is a God of the universe. "Chair 3: Un-Knowing" these people have never heard the gospel or about Jesus. We are gonna skip over to the second chair. "Chair 1: The Real Deal" these people have accepted the gift of forgiveness and that is enough. Prepare yourself for chair two. "Chair 2: Mistaken & Confused" these people call themselves Christians but have never accepted His wonderful gift. Now think, what chair are you in?

Science Fair

Who likes Science Fair? My school is forcing us to do science fair this year... :( I am a huge procrastinator and waited until the last minute. Grrr I wish I hadn't waited so long. And to make it worse, my partner and I can never meet up to work TOGETHER. I hope I don't fail the Science Fair. Wish me luck!

Baby Lotion

Have you ever tried rubbing baby lotion all over yourself to see if it would make your skin all soft? Well I did and my skin is super soft now. Only use Johnson's.... It's the best. And make sure it smells like lavenders and is tear-free. DO IT!!!! :)

Duct Tape Flowers for Sale!

Here's what's up, me and my bff are making duct tape flowers and they are for sale. We have pink, orange, white, green, zebra, cheetah, splatter paint, blue plaid looking color, blue, purple plaid,and purple. A large is $1, a medium is $0.75, and a small is $0.50. They are super in style at our school so be sure to buy the new trend! I would send pictures but I don't have an example of every color at my fingertips. That would be a lot of flowers. Allen Eagles Football Game

So I went to an Allen Eagles game last night and it was awesome! We won like 7-44!!!!! It was amazing! We just kept on going in the zone and it was totally worth going. I usually don't enjoy football games but this one was the best one yet!We got to have a bunch of candy and soda (not for me *water*), and it was super yummy!!!

Monkeys and Mamoths

Today I was practicing piano and I was like "I wish I were a monkey so I wouldn't have thumbs!"... Then I realized that monkeys have thumbs and I was laughing. My brother came to insult me and said "Yeah, all mamoths have thumbs!". We all laughed for about 5 minutes until we were teary eyed and out of breathe. It was SO funny!

Hurricane Harbor

I went to Hurricane Harbor, Arlington, Texas on Friday and had a blast!!! I loved it! But my feet burned on the pavement. Seriously, I have blisters on my feet... That's how hot the cement was. When we got to the car the car thermometer said 114 degrees Fahrenheit! We rode tons of rides and even got to play around in the wave pool. It was awesome! I got home and felt like I was at the beach because right before we left we were in the wave pool. It was so relaxing just sitting there reading a book feeling as if I were on the beach. Overall, it was totally awesome!

Middle School Camp

Chuy's

I went to Chuy's for dinner yesterday. I had a lot of chips and salsa. Then, for my meal, I ordered two kid's size cheese dillas. Yes, I still order off the kids menu. I can't eat a full meal and I can pass as a 10 year old yah know???? I am very happy with the results. The only thing that bugged me was my brother his coloring page in my lemonade... I was SO thirsty when I got home! 'Til my next post!!

Extreme Ping Pong

I have been playing a little game called Extreme Ping Pong. What you do is take two ping pong paddles and a ball. The rules are simple: hit it "normally" from the serve to the return and then hit it crazy so your opponent can not return it to you.
It really is fun, but I am a beginner and my opponent made the game up so it wasn't really fair for me... BUT I still had a good time! 'Til my next post!

Independence Day!

Happy Fourth of July! It is also known as the Independence Day of America! We had so many soldiers die for our freedom and we should just take the day off and appreciate all of those soldiers who died so that we may have freedom in our country. Thank you and have a great America day!

Cars 2

I went and saw Cars 2 today. It was a really good movie but I'll have to say that the first movie was much more family friendly. The spy scenes were kind of violent but in a humorous way. Younger children may not see the humor and become frightened. Other than that, it was a great movie. But one thing that urked me was the people next to me were texting and laughing and talking during the entire movie. I think the only time they weren't was during the previews! Til my next post!

Bowling

I went bowling again today and I have gotten so much better! I got 89! That's my all time high score!!! I'm so happy! My brother didn't get that high but he got 50/55.. Great for a 9 year old, huh? Well gotta go, we are watching the movie, Letters To God. I'll give a review after!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid; Rodrick Rules, The Movie

We watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid; Rodrick Rules this morning just to watch it I guess. I really enjoyed it but I hated that the brothers were fighting the ENTIRE time... I think there was maybe 2-3 scenes where they got along but at the end the were fighting again... It was humorous but not at the same time. If you watch it maybe you'll know what I mean. Family Video

Alright, at the Family Video store, they have a good report card reward thing. It gives you a FREE one night rental on any movie or video game for every "A" you get on your final report card. I guess the only catch is that you can only get one FREE movie/game rental a day and you only get the rental, for ONE NIGHT. Sorry if I'm using CAPS LOCK too much... I'm just trying to emphasize the really important words. So go to Family Video to get your FREE rental today!

Rio, The Movie

Rio was such a great movie. Rio and Jewel are so sweet and their friends Pedro and Rafael take their "romance" to a whole new level!!!! It is so sweet! I would refer this to just about anyone. I think it is family friendly, but some of it is a little scary for younger children! So go and see Rio, for $1.00, at the Plano Cinemark 10. That theater also has Water For Elephant (PG-13), Soul Surfer (PG), and Hop (PG). Hope I helped you find your next family movie for movie night!!!

Hair Cut

I got my hair cut today. My hair was past my shoulders and now it is at my shoulders and framed around my face. It kinda reminds me of my 3rd grade hair cut style, but I still really like it. I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting... Haha! My hair is so cute! I'll post a photo as soon as possible! I'll post tomorrow!

I Am Number Four, the movie

I watched the movie, I Am Number Four, today. They leave WAY too many details out of it. I was kicking and screaming everytime that I saw something missing! The ending was even off! Ugh! Plus to top it all of, they put like 10 more cuss words in it than the book! It really stunk that the movie directors didn't find it important enough to put in the movie. Have you ever had an experience like that??? Please tell me in a comment! Thanks!

Celebrate Freedom Fest

My goodness I am tired! I went to a concert last night and my mom insisted on us waiting for the end.... The end had fireworks but they weren't worth all the sitting in the hot sun and sweating through our pants! I guess an upside to it would be hearing Jason Castro, Big Daddy Weave, Chris Tomlin, and Switchfoot rock the stage. Don't worry.... It was a Christian concert so it was superly awesome rock! Anyways, I am super tired and am about to go to church so bye bye!

Dick's Sporting Goods

I went to Dick's today and were going to get my brother's football equipment and I looked at volleyballs. I had no luck, they were like $18.00 each!!!! My only worry is my brother getting crushed in tackle football.

Yay!!! I finally found myself some track & field shorts! I looked at Target and got 2 pairs for $20.00!!! I am so happy to not have to wear jean shorts all the time!

Track Shorts

I have been wanting these athletic shorts for some time now and still haven't gotten them... My mom is waiting for pay day which is like a week away and I only have jean shorts and that is so not good for summer cuz of the heat. They stick to you and you can't get 'em off! Ugh! I really need these but she doesn't want to pay $20 for them. Is that the normal price, or am I looking at places with too high of prices??? I'm looking at Justice, Adidas, Academy, and Target. Bowling

Alright, I went bowling today with my mom and my brother. We got to bowl two games. The first game I scored 72, the second game I scored 75. I was upset because my mom had gotten 140 and 112. I mean, I did better than my brother but he's only 9... The thing is, something went off on today... I don't usually get all upset when I lose, but I guess today was different for some strange reason. But at the end of the day, I was SOOOO happy because my mommy bought us bowling nachos! Those are like the best nachos in the world! I LOVE BOWLING!

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Hello to all you blog readers out there! My church does something called Vacation Bible School, also known as VBS. I decided to work in the preschool department. The preschool department watches the volunteers children which is SOOO fun!!! I worked in the 4 year olds with a class of eight kids. We had six boys and two girls! Totally uneven but it was still fun. I think my favorite part would have to be getting a Zinger taxi with Oreo wheels and a mini Hershey bar on the top! It was delicious! I had such an awesome week!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while... I've been studying for my school finals. (Not Fun!!!) Lately we've been visiting and we are currently visiting my grandparents in El Paso, Arkansas. So I don't have much time to blog. We're going to have hamburgers and hotdogs along with some BBQ sandwiches with my great grandparents and hopefully my great uncle (he's feeling a little under the weather.. ). It should be a great afternoon and I hope that we have a great time. Gotta go, lunch is awaiting!!!

Baseball Game

My brother, Blake, had a baseball game today. We got out of the house at 11:15am and got there around 11:30am. The actual game started at 12 o'clock and Blake started out in left field. The opposing team scored 2 runs in the first half but we scored 4 runs. By the end of the game, we won 12-11. It was probably around 85 degrees Fahrenheit and everyone was sweating a lot. It was a great turn out!

Book Suggestions

Okay, so I told you I was going to give you some good book suggestions of mine because there's no such thing as having too many books lined up. So I'll start with telling you that the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is awesome. Most people say, "Oh, I've seen one of the movies so I don't have the need to read the books.". They skip 4-5 of the main scenes and tell everything so much different than the book. There are 5 books in the series and the newest book of Rick Riordan's new series similar to his other series, The Lost Hero. I won't give any of that away because if I say one thing, I'll end up blogging for the rest of my life. Another good book is I Am Number Four. This is nothing like the movie, I know they get some of the characters features wrong and skip many scenes that are important. I would suggest that you wait until at least 5th or 6th grade just because of language and fighting scenes. Although I am in 7th grade, I still enjoyed the book. I am currently reading The Goose Girl. It is about a girl who is next in line for the throne but her mother gives it to her younger brother instead and is now destined to marry a prince from the foreign county, Bayern and the action goes from there. In some of these books, suggestions are made at the end so make sure to look. I hope I helped you find your next book.

Today

Today I have an NJHS ceremony. I am happy and sad. I have to wear a dress which makes me sad but I'm happy because I have accepted into this organization with a 93 GPA (Grade Point Average) . What we do is we all walk in from the cafetorium and take our seats. I'm not sure whether we'll sit on the floor in our nice clothes or if they will provide seating for us and the audience. The audience will be sitting in the bleachers of the main school gym. The worst part is that we will have to wait an hour for everyone to be introduced and be given a fact about them. Then we find out who will be the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Representative. That is what I am excited about. They made us vote and wait 2 DAYS!!! (48 hours!) But any way, I have to get ready and on my next post I will give you some book suggestions because there is no such thing as too much books to have lined up! Thanks!

All About Me!!!

Hi!! I'm Ally, the writer of Ally's Design, and I am here to tell you a little bit about myself. I was a military kid up until I was 12 years old. I've been out of the country before (Germany). I started out in Wichita Falls, Texas where I was born. Then we moved to San Antonio, Texas. After about 2 years my brother was born when I was 3 years old. After he was about 6 months we were stationed to Spangdahlem, Germany. We lived there for 3 1/2 years. Then we moved to Warner Robins, Georgia for 5 years. Now we live in Allen, Texas. My dad is out of the military and it considered a "retired air force" man. He served 21 years of service.
